Osteoporotic Fracture Campaign
Ontario Osteoporosis Strategy
The Ministry of Health and Longterm Care of the Province of Ontario
have announced a $5Million (Canadian) annual fund for a
comprehensive strategy for osteoporosis care.

Element 3 (of 5 elements) concerns post fracture care. Currently
Osteoporosis Canada (a nonprofit agency) has been contracted by
MoHLTC to implement this element. There are 7 coordinators hired to
work in Ontario fracture clinics. This year it is anticipated that
35 hospital fracture clinics in Ontario will be covered by 15
coordinators.
